After a decade of service, Dr. Harold Jeffcoat announced today he will retire from his position as president of Texas Wesleyan University on June 1, 2010.
Jeffcoat intends to return to teaching at Wesleyan after a one-year sabbatical, according to a press release. The board of trustees will name an interim-president while they search for a replacement.
“I have enjoyed ten years of productive, rewarding work for Texas Wesleyan,” Jeffcoat said in the release. “My next objective is to become the best ex-president I can be for Wesleyan.”
